Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MarksmanMate (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you are legally permitted to own, use, and discuss firearms and shooting equipment in your jurisdiction.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or use another person’s account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, threatening, or promotes illegal activity
  • List prohibited items in the marketplace (including unlicensed firearms or prohibited weapons)
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent platform security measures
  • Use the platform for spam or unsolicited commercial messages

5. Marketplace Rules

All marketplace transactions are between private individuals. MarksmanMate is not a party to any sale and accepts no liability for items listed, sold, or purchased. You are solely responsible for ensuring any transaction complies with UK firearms law, including relevant licensing requirements.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant MarksmanMate a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content on the Platform. We may remove content that violates these terms without notice.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

Premium plans are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by UK consumer law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

8. Limitation of Liability

MarksmanMate is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
